As we continue our learning of Indigenous ways of knowing and the journey to the truth and reconciliation, your Local 38 ATA PD Committee is offering this hands-on learning opportunity with Chantal Stormsong Chagnon.

Chantal Chagnon is a Cree / Métis Singer, Drummer, Artist, Storyteller, Actor, Educator, Workshop Facilitator, Social Justice Advocate and Activist with roots in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan. She shares Traditional Indigenous Songs, Stories, Culture, History, Arts, Indigenous Craftsmanship and Teachings. Chantal has presented in Classrooms from Preschool through University and Professional, Community, and Social Justice Events and Gatherings. Chantal aims to entertain, engage, enlighten, educate, and inspire everyone she meets. In this workshop, participants would expect to learn about the teaching of medicine wheel and to make a medicine bag to take home. All materials would be provided.

Audience Grades K – 12 Teachers & Administrators

Registration Registration is limited to 40 participants.

Registration will open Thursday May 11 at 7:00pm on Eventbrite and is first come, first served. Once the tickets sell out, Eventbrite will provide a waitlist option.

A fee of $11.98 is required to register ($10 refundable deposit + $1.98 non-refundable Eventbrite fee). Refunds of registration deposit will be issued to participants after verification of attendance.

One ticket per participant. Please do not register for others.

Substitute codes will be provided by Local 38 to successful registrants.
